any one knows what to do to avoid termites to come into a boat?
i am starting the restoration on top banana what will take a long time,there is still a lot of unprotected plywood in the hull,i had termite problems before was wondering if there is any kind of protection to keep them out?

Don't know about those foreign termites but I've restored boats that have sat for decades and never saw any termite damage and I have got them from the east and west coasts, mid west ,south, from all over.
But race boats are always built a little different. You could always fume bomb it. Throw some plastic over it I and set off a few of those bombs inside.

i had a few bad experiences with boats from florida,the sanger i imported before from florida was full of it,so bad that you could here them inside eaten,i told there was some electricity running inside,after putting off all power i realised it were the termites i heard. bzzzzzzzzzzzzz maybe from that i am left with a termite complex.
