Force One Powerboats
#2
Had something called Force One in Australia about 25 years ago.
They were available through Trident Engineering which was owned by Tony Lowe who is an offshore racing legend in Australia. He raced in numerous boats and also imported a few Cigarettes and became a dealer for a short time when the 31 Bullet came out in the late 80's.
The Force One at the time was a 29 or 30 footer from memory with twin big blocks or twin outboards (I think). Never really took off. but it was the market in Australia, not the boat. The boats were great, don't know what happened to them but they haven't been heard of for years. I suspect they had close ties to the Cigarette hulls at the time because the distributor was hooked up with Cig.
This is all a bit speculative because it may not be the same Force One you are talking about, perhaps an Aussie 'knock off' from an older design? Who knows?
Will be following this thread, hopefully someone will know all about them........
