There used to be a race boat called Copper Kettle that ran in the Long Island sound in the late 70's. Does anyone know of this boat? I wonder what disarray it is in if still around.

I didn't know there was more than one. I remember it was loud and fast. I was small and it was big! I wasn't even sure it was a "real" race boat or just made to look like one. I see now, that it was real. Thanks!!!

Yes Wharf Rat, Sandy Satullo's North Ohio Copper Kettle boats and race team and Marina where the real deal. He is one of the many Icons of or Sport that came from our unforgiving training grounds of Lake Erie. The Copper Kettle Boats sitting in the pits at the Cedar Point would make the hair on your arms feel strange. That was one of many boats that came from the Great Lakes that made the next generation of Boat Racers from our area. Never boring and always entertaining.
