Default 555" bbc cam

I'm looking for a cam to put in my 555" std deck bbc I have dart 345's and an edelbrock 2927 single plane manifold with a 1050 dominator. The engine is in my 28' eliminator eagle. I just pulled a cam motion 254 int 262 exhaust duration with .680 lift on 110 lsa because it ran like crap. What it's had crane previously with a 234 int 242 exh duration at .050 with a lift of .610 int .630 exh with a 112 lsa. What would you guys recommend?

i have a good used takeout cam, crane 139651 hyd roller that would work well in your engine.if you do a google search you can see all the specs.if you are interested in it i will ask the owner how much he wants for it.also have a good used set of crane hyd roller lifters.

Good cam Mike. someone looking in wanted section for one of these. Other off the shelve cam that works well with that combo plus or minus is the 139681 by crane. 240/248 - 621/632. I knew of a guy who had a pair of good guy 540+ and removed the 681's for a custom grind from extremely Reputable cam builder and lost power big time. Like 6 to 7 mph.

I can see why your pulling existing cam although the 021 or 741 you had in previously is prolly a little small for 555 unless you went with 1.8 rockers on the intakes. Just a thought. There's some new really good grinds out now a days.

Btw what gen block you have?

Interested as I run 525efi cams (similar to 741) in my NA 555s.
