Hey Jim you got any good 540 parts around? Do you think the $ would be better spent on new after market heads or would you just go with the conversion to 540 cubes?? Also what do you think about the shubert lifters and cam set up?

yeah yeah jim!!! What set of heads ya think would work on a 383, 9.9:1 comp ratio, 5500 rpm Small block chevy. Low end performance doesn't matter, all that matters is that i go by the other guy

Sorry guys I was posting on another thread.

Travis

The Iron eagle's or the pro heads from Austraila would work. Or how about porting the heads you have now? They should make as much power as the above unless you plan on twisting the bejeses out of your motor. Or an 18 degree head

Tinkerboater

I have very few parts left in stock for a 540. I think you should do both 540 and heads, it's only money. LOL
