Helm switch labeled "CABIN LIGHTS", other than the obvious as the name states, exactly what does it power ?????? I can't find what it powers because it's not working for the cabin lighting at all.

On both of my 280's the cabin light switch powered the switches in the cabin. So basically u have to turn the dash switch on and then the 2 switches on the wall in the cabin. Then each light has its own switch as well.

Thanks for the feedback, I was afraid of that......
....... Seems I've got some electricals to trace down. My helm switch doesn't work that way, cabin lights will turn on (using inside the cabin switches) regardless of the helm switch position....
....just when I thought I was done...

I just checked out the cabin light switch on my boat. It only controls a single light in the cabin, the one closest the entrance over the countertop. All of the other lights work whether the switch at the helm is on or off.

surely somebody knows ????????????
