can i run a spacer in between the bell housing input shaft flange and the hanger input shaft flange say 3-4 inches,

also do i need the fibrous washers on the rear hanger

i have service manual 39 but cant find out there or on line if the fibrous washers are needed or not

i have the special conical washers

any help would be appreciated or if i could talk to a tech that would be great as i have a bell housing input shaft o-ring location in the gimble bearing question as well
