Default Garmin GFS 10 restriction?

600 HP NA engine, 850 Holley with mechanical pump. Max fuel consumption is around 52 GPH. 1/2 in fuel line to the fuel filter then 1/2 in to the mechanical fuel pump, then 3/8 in to carb. I would like to add the Garmin GFS-10 unit between the fuel filter and fuel pump. Problem is, the GFS unit is only 3/8". I am only looking at reducing to 3/8 for maybe 6". I do have fuel pressure gauges, but sure don't want to have other issues such as cavitation in the line due to the restriction or anything like that. Should I look into possibly figuring a way to mount it after the pump?

The easy conservative answer is, don't do it. I am wondering if anyone has done it or has any further recommendations. Real world results?

Thanks,
Bill

Hey Bill,

I use the GFS10 on my twin 502s with Holley HP TBI . I am at approx 525HP and have had no issues with fuel flow at full throttle.
