Tried to take Airpacker out for a BatBoat ride on Sunday. Everything was running great at the dock and the trim would not go up. Fixed the trim (just the relay plug) and then the coil shorted out against itself. Now I need a new MSD box and already bought a new high vibration blaster coil. Trouble is I can't find a new MSD 6M today and he has till tomorrow or no ride cause he has to go back to Toronto. Bummer.

Default Short weekend (5 hours)

The port engine's been idling rough, and stalling around the docks, so Friday morning I ran the boat 20 miles over to a marina where there was a mechanic who "had some time to look at it". After doing all the electronic and computer stuff, we find a broken exhaust manifold leaking water into the two rear cylinders and putting the fire out at low engine speeds. Apparently, it would run OK at 2000+ rpm because there was more exhaust flow. Short story - had to leave the boat there while a new manifold was ordered (under warranty ), but there doesn't appear to be any damage to the engine - compression check was good. Took a $40 taxi ride to get back to our car at our home marina, though, and then a 1 1/2 hour ride home. So much for 3 days in Baltimore - we cleaned up the garage instead.

Not too bad. Hit a small floating log. Bent prop.
Vibrated in about 20 miles. It just took awhile to
get back.

My first year with a Sunsation. Turned a 102 hours for the season and the worst thing is screws in the dash and seat coming loose. Incredible, and the boat is 8 years old. I guess it helps to start the season and replace everything that looks remotely worn.
