got a digital variable speed 7 inch buffer from harbor freight and bought 6 wool pads/bonnets 3 bucks each and some terry ones as well
wanted a little reward today after using 2000 wet on the bunker smudges and scuffs on the bottom of the boat, so i busted out the buffer and the vibra cut
cant remenber his name right now but i met him 2 weeks ago when i was over in naples and bought a gallon of vibra cut and some vitreo off him and applied it as recommended
ran the buffer 1500 rpm after about 15 sq ft. the wool pad was gummed up.
is it the pad or is it me maybe i'm putting too much on to begin with
amazing how well the area i did looks, and i barely pressed because i never ran a buffer before
i want to do the product justice so i'm looking for some insight
thanks

Vibra does require pad spurring often but it is an aggressive compound. You can use any pressure you want, i vary speed and pressure with there or what i am buffing. Gel seems to like a fair amount of heat/pressure/friction to bring out the shine. By your description it sounds like you are using the bonnet type for everything, that would be a big reason for the clogging if its the ones i am thinking of. You need the thick wool velcro backed buffing pads. They are about ten or twelve bucks apiece at HF if memory serves. You will also need the 7 1/2" velcro backing pad for your buffer.
this is what you need, i think you may have gotten the fleece ones instead.

dave you are dead balls on, i did use an elastic bonnet
the buffer came with a velcro pad and i bought the only stick on wool pad on the shelf (tuffer buffer) it says on the back
off to hf in the a.m. for more of what you recommend hopefully the have a spur otherwise i'll have a hell of shiny fork
good to know about the pressure and heat, was afraid to burn.
speaks volumes to the vibra cut, little pressure first time user and i can read my cars plate in the reflection
link to the buffer
