Not really to be honest.

Most of the boats just raft up together at the inlet or island. No one really runs around in this area that much.

Used to have the OPBA. It was a great club for years but it faded away with the rest of high performance boating. Everyone has a CC now.

This is pretty much it but it is an amazing group for sure and worth the pull down.

How is the boating over there? My dad just bought a house just outside Tampa and I plan on leaving my boat down there in the winters if it's worth it. I may start with a small cc or something and see if it's worth bringing the 40 down or just taking it to pompano once in a while where we usually go.

I love and enjoy it but as is being said here. We don't do runs really, no real groups either. However the boating is great, open water in the gulf, no noise restrictions, and water patrol is rather cool.

Lots of good meet up spots, islands all over, and something to do everywhere

Alas the Tampa market for boats is very buoyant but not for clubs. So many people have boats here, from fishing boats to sport cruisers to PWC's that boat clubs are not very popular. Insurance rates don't help, bad press about Footballers drowning and after the dark years of 07-12 the idea isn't profitable. However the boating scene is amazing with so many places to visit, get weather and cheap gas!
