He is in the ball park with that set up!

We have a 2007 with 496ho also 30 pitch runs 84 mph. I don't hold it WOT but for just quick blasts as I will try this year with the bow cover on as it still wants to climb rpm. maybe 85 ha

Mine is a 2005 older style Dominator hull with 496HO's Bravo's 30 props few more hours than yours I see 82/83 mph with 1/2 tank fuel and two adults. Water conditions don't seem too make much difference but most days I would say light chop. That seems to be consistent with mot 32's with 496's.

Just to clarify... Are we talking twins or single here?

I read the OP's post as he had a single 496mag HO... Which 82/83 mph seems rather fast to me. If we are talking twins... That makes sense.

Due to the year it would be twins. but your right as he didn't plural his 496ho with ho's

01' Dominator (non SS) with twin stock 496 HO's(425hp each). 80 gps all the time with stock 28 pitch Bravo 1's. That was real close to the 5150 RPM limit. On good days it would hit the limiter. Pulled the HO's and installed a pair of 509ci carbureted N/A motors making 650hp each. Went up to 30 pitch bravo 1 props(bought used but supposed to be stock, so not positive). Boat ran 91+ gps everyday. Best of 93. The 509's spin to 6K RPMS. This is a fairly lightly equipped boat also. No Mcloud interior, microwave, A/C, fridge or pump out head.

I thinks its pretty commonly agreed the newer SS hull is faster than the older one by a couple MPH. But man does the original Dominator look like its going 100mph sitting still in the water!

2006 MCOB, 496HO's, 30p: 83 is about it. Seen 85, very briefly, under ideal conditions (near empty tank, in the ocean, cool temps).
