Default Anybody doing remanufactured big blocks (specifically 454 Mag efi)?

Friend of mine has a 1995 454 Mag efi that is junked. Needs a reman long block. Any ideas where to go about getting the correct engine? Everything I've looked at is carb application.

The Gen V(1995-1996) carbed 454mag and 454 EFI are the same longblock and use the same cam.

Page 40 in the Merc reman guide. Link below for all. Its Merc complete reman guide.

Mike - Merc is group listing their - 454 / 7.4 - 1992 thru 1996 flat tappet engines as GEN V.

Let me know if you want me to order anything for you here. Merc stands behind their remans very well.

Mercruiser had both - 1996 model year 454 Gen V and at some point in 1996 had Gen VI for model year 1996 continuing model year 1997 and beyond to 2001 for the black engine production side .

Let me see what I can find & post to show what I am saying here.

A couple years newer, but my boat had 2 NEW Long block 454 mag efi 98 gen VI when I bought it. THe owner was buddy with a small boat shop and his dealer cost were around $5k each! I ended up buying boat in 2013 and they were put in 2012 and had 12 hours.
