I have A question this word KEVLAR is below the vin number on the boat what does it mean

This designates that it was built using Kevlar. Makes it a rare piece. I should have the price sheet on what this option cost when I go to the office tomorrow. Wellcraft used several under vin id's to verify lamination. Kevlar is one and CAL (Kevlar composite alloy laminate) is another and the most expensive option for it had coring material. My Scarab Viper is CAL constructed. I see so often people say their Scarab is Kevlar like KV's which does not stand for Kevlar and yellow school boats which I owned two and were not Kevlar. Hard to say but the Kevlar option on a 1992 28 which is different than yours but still a 28' retailed for $3950
