Default what will run 100mph in 2's and be easy on fuel?

Will a 24 skater do that without beating you to death?

Will a 21 superboat with a 300 run 100?

Looking for something 100mph fast, single eggbeater, that will ride out nice for the skanks, and be easy on fuel. Thx for your advice in advance...rm

Had to re-read your post... If I remember correctly a retired race 24 Skater ran just a tick over 100 with the early twin opti's./ tall props (I want to say 225's ??? but not 100% as it's been a while) and it rode nice in 2's... Big single on a 24 - no idea... one on scream and fly and I believe there was one out in Vegas for sale a year plus ago set up in drag form...

You are still going to have to pour fuel through a big OB running top end more often than not to hit the numbers so "easy on fuel" is relative to what???

Don't think keeping a 24 Skater going 100+ will be cheap. Not sure if you will like doing it in 2 footers either. Sounds more like your looking for a 28' Skater, Not cheap either

A 28 Skater with 300sx's will be the best ride with reasonable fuel burn.

I havent been around many cats. So dont know how big a cat i would need to run in 2s...

What kind of number would a 21 superboat run with a 300. Im not going to run it wfo all the time, but if top end is around100 i can cruise mid 80s is my plan. Cant be much bigger than 21 ft as it has to have a single ob for power.

I want a small boat as i plan to put a pair of 6" pilings into the water on an angle and stake them in to position so i can use the trailer without tires to pull the boat out of the water using a winch. So smaller is better.
In the early am its like glass here with 6" ripples, but the waves pick up as the day goes on.

i figured a cat would be the most fuel efficient ride... Thx for the info

I really want something with a single, for several reasons... the shipping, cost to buy, dont wanna feed two engines, pulling it out of the water, etc....

whats out there for small Vs that will run near 100 in 2s? Thx rm

You are asking for a lot from a small "V", single engine boat. 4 people, and a lot of weight (groceries) and cruise at 80MPH! It will be interesting to see what others come up with. Where do you live?
