I'm going to replace the transom assembly in my 28 single. I have 3 options for replacment and looking for some feedback to help make the decision. All parts are used but in excellent condition.

HP transom assembly $1500

ITS transom assembly $4000

IMCO complete gimble with steering. $5000

My boat currently has dual ram hydraulic steering. I can sell that to recoupe some of the difference in price to upgrade to the ITS or IMCO.

I would just buy a new Merc HP assembly unless you are 100% confident in the used one

The IMCO setup looks great. ITS still uses the gimbal to steer.
