Default "Lightspeed 1188" 12' x 39' Catamaran Off Shore Center Console.

We built this fishing boat for top performance (fishing and diving), not for top speed.
Offshore Only? With a 16" draft we can Bay Boat too.
800 mile range, pr. of 840 qt insulated fish boxes, 60 gallon live wells, 3 coolers, etc etc.
We only have an hour on it with borrowed Bravo I's from a friends diesel stern drive,
but with the new props Mercury is sending me they say we will go 74 mph.

This was a modest Flyby Video, cruise throttle setting, still in the first 90 minutes after we splashed.
45 mph is our target cruise speed. 70 plus for showing off.

Beautiful boat!

45MPH cruise is pretty good for a vessel that Uuuuge!

who designed the bottom?
planing hull or semi-displacement?
core material?
what layup schedule do you use?
vacuum bag or vacuum resin infusion?

Its a new design. I talked to everyone I know for their free advice and believe that the committee developed a thoroughbred and not a camel!
It was a 11' x 34' to start and grew.

Its 100 % / infused laminate except for secondary bonding. There is a fair bit of Carbon fiber but not where it bangs the water.,

Its 8,000 lbs., and that includes the Corian bait prep counter top and sink. :-)
7500 lbs was the target originally, but there are 1,000 lbs of electrical items, Battery banks, chargers, sound system, reel windlass etc. etc that accrued.

Any time you make a follow on boat after a prototype there is always a 10% reduction in weight if you are diligent.

We had a bet for a case of beer. 2 mpg @ 45 mph. The Video we put on Youtube achieved that at 47 mph. That was with the new Bravo I FS, which gave us the speed but seemed to have a lot of slip mid range. Still, we achieved a solid 1.9 mpg @ 55 mph with those props, pretty good for a fully featured 12' x 39' center console.

Three blade Enertia ECO props are on order which are designed for mid range fuel economy by 10 %.
2.2 gph @ 45 would be great for a fish boat.
