Default 500EFI cam, what valve springs

Im looking to run a 500efi cam in my 454 mag motor. Would it be ok to run the stock valve springs or do I need to replace them? If so what springs do i need to run? Thanks for the help

You need better springs.

Isky 8005 or Comp Cams 929

I'll second Griff- I've been running the ISKY 8005 SP series spring. I've never had an issue at all. I bought mine from Bob Madara, his prices then were better than summit. You will also want to replace you retainers and locks. Again Bob can make sure you get the right stuff. Here is his number- 585-654-8583

Thanks guys. I plan to give Bob a call today, he might have a better recommendation for a cam for me. I want to keep it efi for now and I know that limits me.

The 500efi cam will work fine for a mild build.

Possibly. You will have to check the length during assembly.
You will most likely need new lifters as well. I think the stock GM lifters are only good to about .570 lift.

Would it possible to switch to adjustable stud mounted roller rockers instead of changing pushrod length?

You need to switch to roller rockers no matter what with a 500efi cam.

That wouldn't correct a pushrod length issue.
