So I have this dilemma I've been dealing with and the itch is getting unbearable. The need for SPEED!!
I love my 370 Super Sport and have owned it since new, 8 more years and she is paid off and I own her. All I look at the last 3 years are the bad ass boats out there I'm missing out on. I've almost pulled the trigger on a sit down V several times in the $45-$95k range. This would be a second boat in addition to the 370. I haven't done this as wouldn't be best financial decision.
Here is my question, wait till I can pull off the second boat in the $100k range or sell the 370 and step right into a 43 turbo beast??
Keep in mind I've owned the Formula since new and 8 years is still some time to pay it off but I'm already 12 in and times flying by.
Your thoughts on this dilemma?

Personally, I'd go the route of a second boat and keeping the 370. Two boats seems like a better plan. If one needs service you're still on the water. Something goes wrong with the 43' turbo beast and you're on the docks until the problem is fixed. After spending almost every free minute of the last 4-5 weeks on a gas tank replacement, I'm seriously considering a smaller "spare", just to keep my short season from being wrecked by another component failure.

Having two boats is nice. We have the Intrepid for the family, and the Nor-tech when we want to go fast with some friends. But, be prepared to double the cost of everything!! With our current cost of insurance, marinas in Connecticut (don't need marinas in Florida because we keep behind the house) and transportation of the boats, we are at about $25K a year before maintenance or putting fuel in them.

Do you have a lake house?
There's a gladiator on Loz Craigslist for $85k and a nasty sit down velocity 41 in the classifieds.
$100k buys a lot of bad ass boat if you don't need the latest and greatest. I can't yet envision spending more than that, maybe I just don't make enough!

I started with a Mini-Hawk as a second boat. I then added a race-modified Yammie PWC, and had the PWC and Mini-Hawk on a tandem PWC trailer.
I got a bit bored with both, and then moved to jet boats. I've gone through 3 jet-boats in the last couple years; 17-20 feet with 454, 468, and even a ZZ502.
I think it all depends on what you want out of your "second boat"; where you are going to run it, how often, and who with. Personally, I like having something in the sub-$10K range, that isn't perfect, and I don't care if it get's a ding or a scrape. Also, in this price range, it's pretty easy to move on to other stuff when bored; and there is almost always a market for small fast boats.
I should not have sold the green Southwind. I miss that one.
I loved the Spectre with the ZZ502 I bought from ActiveShack here on OSO, But it was SO big, I'd have rather had a 20' Cigarette or something similar. I wanted smaller. I also sold it to (back) to the guy who owned it for 22 years. He's an older chap, and he REALLY wanted it back to finish out his boating years. Win-win for both of us.
Now on the Speedliner with a Merc outboard, and I LOVE it. I only got about 30 minutes on it before the transom cracked; but I love running it. I'll have it rerigged and water again before summer is out.
