Default Painting window frame...

On my last boat I powder coated the window frame. I would love to powder coat the new one. However the problem is the last boat the glass just pulled from the frame. The glass in my formula 311 is glued into the frame. So unless I want I somehow get the glue loose from the glass to powder coat the frame I'm thinking of just painting the frame. Problem is I'm worried the cover will just wear and chip the paint right off the frame...anyone have experience?

aluminum frame? another option is to get a lil compound wheel and mirror polish the frame.

Ya either aluminum or stainless....I'm not really a "chrome" polished look guy. Plus you see a lot of them polished not so many color matched to the boat in some way...
