I have Kiekhaefer controls. They worked fine with my old motor. Now that I have added 200hp, I cruise at a smaller throttle opening. I suspect the ball and detent setup is worn at the beginning of the stroke. If I cruise at 3500 and up, it holds the throttle right where I put it. If I cruise at 2500-3000, the throttle drops back after a few seconds. I found a few drawings of the throttles but still cant figure out how they come apart. I would like to have replacements for worn parts on hand before I disassemble. I like to do things in one shot if possible. I have not been able to find good info on these. Any help would be appreciated.
