I have been told to buy JL from a local dealer so the warranty is valid, not sure how much you really crank it but just passing it along. Not sure if amazon dealers count or not...could be gray market stuff.

Def support a guy here. Also try your local shop or JL direct. They just had (and may still be having) a marine sale. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out the audio store near me has spring sale going on - 20% off ordered JL and 30% off instock JL! I saved about $600...

Crutchfield will usually price match, you will get full factory warranty and Crutchfield has their own warranty as well. If it's not on their website they can still get it. They even have a way of getting their hands on discontinued stuff sometimes too.

Mine were purchased from the JL Audio official store on Ebay. Trouble is, when you have a problem with one of them you have to take it to a local dealer to have them sent back for warranty work, you can't just send them straight to JL. As you can imagine, the local dealers aren't chomping at the bit to help you out with your speakers you purchased over the internet.
