Tom Borisch: These engines run better than any EFI setup around. Jim had this thing on the water more than any other boat, and maintained it with an open check book.

Jim David Darr: I want efi. I'm checking on price to do top ends and make them efi. I've had alot of carb motors. They are great until u get around docks and in and out of gear and they don't have knock detonation sensors and retard on them. I'll get back to you. How much are the trannys alone?. Thanks

What, you mean those aren't Mercury black motors with EFI and a warranty?! The picture must have been a little pixelated on his end.... Something was certainly fuzzy on his end!

Why do people do this ****? What kind of person gets off on tire kicking and wasting people's valuable time? You're either a buy or you're not a buyer, I understand shopping around and being cautious but don't be throwing out offers if you are not ready to do the transaction. This guy must be bored, somebody needs to introduce this guy to a titty bar or high-end escorts and let him know there are much better ways to waste his time.

You should have screwed with him a bit more and agreed to the $5k for the transmissions to see what kind of excuses he would come up with to back out even at that price.

That was frustrating just to read....much less to be the guy getting jerked around.
