The Customs Authorities of Gibraltar have decided that by the end of 2016 most if not all vessels seized by them over the years are to be removed and destroyed. One such craft is the famous (originally gas turbine powered) offshore racer previously known as Miss Embassy. She was converted for smuggling purposes and now languishes under the rock of Gibraltar and is in need of a saviour. She is presently located in one of the many tunnels under the rock and logistically speaking will be quite difficult to move but where there's a will there's a way...............I have it on good authority that the powers that be would just like the boat taken away by whoever is prepared to do so for restoration purposes. That said, the state of the vessel is such that only those with deep pockets and an equal enthusiasm will be prepared to take on such a mammoth task. There are a number of photographs included in this thread that give an idea of the work involved. I will share this post on various FB pages and forum sites. Please share this post with as many as possible who may have an interest in saving this once amazing boat. Please contact me if interested and I will put you in touch with the right people. Come the end of 2016 if nobody has come forward we will sadly wave goodbye to this once glorious machine. Nigel Barrett.

I don't know the boat but the price is right and it sounds like an interesting project.
Even more interesting would be the project of retrieving and transporting her to a safe haven. I guess a couple of 'non contractual' cash payments slipped under the door of the gents toilet in a plain envelope would do the trick!
Those tunnels littlenige speaks of must be a virtual treasure trove to a boating enthusiast, anyone know more about them? Tunnel pics would be great.....
