Default Running with the Bimini Up

I have a 35 Lightning that came with a Bimini. Does anyone run with them up? And if so whats the max speed they can handle? Does it help to have the Eisenglass in?

Any help is appreciated.

There are some types/brands of biminis that you can run at a good rate of speed with them up. That's about all I know, since I personally hate how they look. lol.

Had 35 Lightning (2005) and ran bimini twice (rain) used full window skirting and she held rock solid cruise and minor movement at 70

I have ran with mine up at 70, but it has the SS hardware. I wouldn't try it with the alum/plastic hardware.

1) It needs to be tight as a drum.
2) It needs to be mounted with through bolts, not screws.

If you have the above, you can run with it up; but I wouldn't take a factory bimini over 50-55 or so.

There is a guy here in Richmond that guarantees his custom biminis up to 70mph.
