Default flame arrestor

What flame arrestor do you guys suggest for a 5000 rpm 383 small block? I haven't changed the carb from the OE Weber that my 350 Mag had. I just got some jetting stuff.
I'm thinking that flat Mercruiser unit would be a choke point at higher rpm. Are those 5 3/4" OD units enough, or should I get an 8"?

I went K&N for all my stuff. My BBC needs a 3X14 air filter for the carb cfm and you're not going to get that from a F/A.
