Default Solar dock lights?

Got a *****in dock at my new place and would like to light it up a bit. A quick google search shows a couple million options, I like the almost flush mount ones that I'd be much less likely to crack my foot on. Looks like you would put them every 6 ft or so. Anyone have any real experience with them. Fresh water lake application.

Hi X-Rated-- I won't even go to the origins of your screen name!!! LOL

If you go to Amazon there are a number of dock led light that are out there. The every 6' approach has got a couple that require a hole to be drilled in the dock and they are surface/flush mounted. We have a Roll-O-Dock and I don't want to drill any holes in the aluminum - what we have done is bought these "cheap" yard lights and put them into the support poles - they really work well and when the fail - which they all do - it is an easy and inexpensive fix.

A couple of weeks ago I was up north of Kalamazoo Michigan and there is a dock/pier boat shop right on US 131 that had some great looking pole mounted dock lights -- Being the idiot I am- I don't their name. If I get a chance to run up there again - I'll pass it out to this posting.

I got mine from Costco but they are plastic. They work great.

Are you trying to light up the dock where you walk or the boat slip?

I have used ones like these for years to help locate the ends of the dock and slip...mounted them to the side of the dock, nothing to step on.

I hate too much light when docking at night.

Also learned it's best to open them up and coat the electronics in clear silicone. Makes them last a lot longer.
