Default Single engine v-bottom #6ssm

Posted this in tech area but thought I might get more response here. Been working on this project for most of two seasons now. Merc racing does not know where drive should be mounted. Used their recommendation in the beginning and it turned out to be way too high. I thought that perhaps someone else may have done a single engine v-bottom with a #6 and be willing to share some insight as to set up. Boat is a 30' Checkmate with a 1300+ hp twin turbo bbc.

Please post some pics of your project. I have often wondered why MFGs dont use stronger drives w/ more HP in 30+ boats?? HP to weight seems like it wouild be better and fuel effieient
