Outlaw vs boss?

Well the first thing I noticed at the atlantic city boat show when I got on the 29 outlaw was that it had a crummy interior and no upgrades, no sink, no fridge ect.
With my wife, she wants our next boat to have an enclosed head unit or she wont sleep out with me on weekends.
I like the idea of twin 575 sc's in a 29 that would be freakin SMOKING fast
but seems you have to jump all the way to the 36 outlaw to start to get SOME amenities down below.
Does anyone know if this is going to remain like this or should I possibly start thinking down lines of another manufacturer?
I loved the dash layout of the 29, the carbon fiber dash plate, big huge monster Gaffrig's ect.
the paint needed to go on the sample boat they had there, but the custom shop work seems just flat out amazing.
Im not in the market for a new boat right now cause i WILL finish my project first come hell or high water.
Just was pokin around at the boat show and this was the first time that Baja had a presence there in YEARS.
Nice to see someone brought some this time and it was not all just fountains and formula's
a more working man's class of boat in my opinion.
Now do they make arches for the new ones?
YEAH IM OLD SCHOOL, SO WHAT?

What's goin' on Jay?
As far as I know it's always been that way and will probably remain. If you want the ammenities and all that stuff, you'll be more interested in the Performance lineup. The Outlaws seem to be more purpose built and designed for performance with only basic interiors.

See this is what Im talking about
Baja does not always have the options that all people want
My wife is killing me with this enclosed head ****.
blah blah I wanna enclosed head blah blah
WTF woman?
I wanted a 37 outerlimits but do I have one? NO
So you have to wait just like I do, PATIENCE!!!
Geez!
of course like any red blooded dude, I want bigger, but my next boat is going to be outfitted with quite a few things no matter what brand I end up with.
Require, at least 525's or 575 sc's
Hydraulic steering, K planes (F these stupid tabs!!!)
headers, enclosed head, nice cabin and some speed, not world breaking speed, just some speed, 80-85 ish is fine.
and of course I will add my own personal touches to it but none the less I want blowers, headers and other HP goodies so I dont have to sit there dreaming I WANT HEADERS DURRRRRRRR
but the upgrades to the outlaw's seem pretty thin
just dont understand why you cant get a head compartment in a 29 outlaw?
hell it is big enough, Christ SONIC puts them in the 26 PROWLER granted it is more like a closet but at least it is there.
You pay this much money for a boat, it should come exactly the way you want it , you should not have to settle for something that is not exactly what you want when the price is over 100 thousand dollars!!!

Dude, I hear ya man!
tell you what...tell her what a pain in the ass it is to clean up one of those things...tell her to imagine lugging this big-azz crap-filled bucket of nasty from the boat up to the waste station and having to clean it. Then you get all that chit stuck in the corners and crevices and the only way to get it out is good old fashioned elbow grease...If she wants it, it's hers to take care of right?
Anyway, if that's what you want, I'll bet they'll make it for you, it's just going to cost ya!!
Personally, I feel they offer all the options I could ever want. Anything more and it's cruiser time.

Dude a Chitter is not = to a cruiser
LMAO
Pump it out, flush some bleach down there, pump that out and your done and good to go.
LMAO
Now if you leave it in there, and your boat is baking in the hot sun for a week or two weeks, and the cabin is all covered up and the big cockpit cover is all covered up
Your going to never use the crapper again.
well there are advantages to things, like second mortgage or second home, write off's with requirements of bathroom, a microwave or stove, Wife wants AC and a separate place to sleep which these all have.
not some fly by night, fold tab a into slot b and anchored by latch c which goes into retainer D sort of thing so you can take a nap.
Im starting on the plan to save, invest and get all my ducks in a row for a newer, more RELIABLE, faster and more in tune to what we both would like in a new boat started.
This way, cant be much of a fight if we both have what we both want out of it.
Kill all birds with one stone if you will.
Hows your baja dude?

Hey guys,
I love my 342 Performance. Enclosed pump out head,(no nasty mess emptying did the porta pot in the old boat NEVER AGAIN) ac, refig, tv vcr, micro. Speed nice ride and roomy. Not as comfy as a cruiser, but I'm not ready to go that slow yet.

If you want all the goodies, the 342 or 36 Outlaw is the way to go.
The 342 can come with a windshield and does have a little nicer head in my opinion.
My 36 has all those goodies.
A/C, TV/VCR, Shore Power, shore water, Fresh water holding tank, Electric stove, microwave, Refridgerater, enclosed head with vacuflush pump out toilet, water heater, transom shower, McCleod electric bolsters, screens in hatches to keep bugs out, three small closets for storage, storage under both benches, storage under berth, etc.
We did fine in our 272, we are in heaven now.
I looked at both the 35 Fountain and 35 Formula and you cannot get all these options in those too brands. They require you to go up to the 38 footer $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Make the little lady happy.

Jay, Have you considered a 302? Still have amenities (enclosed-pump out head) and good performance. I would think with the 496 MAG HO'S you should see good speed. Not the 85 MPH you want but I would think high 70's is not out of the question with the right set up.
I know there are a couple of board members with twin 502's pushing the 80 MPH or have broken the 80 MPH. Have not seen any updated posts from them lately.
Just a thought
Mike

LMAO....Ya, you certainly don't want to let it bake!
My point was, if you're against it and the only reason to consider one was due to the ole lady, than you have to underglorify it somewhat.
BTW, I write off my 25 Outlaw on 2nd home mortgage interest...All you need is a place to sleep, place to go bathroom and cooking facilities(v-berth, porto-crapper, portable grill)
