I across a product called Ethanol Shield at the company that supplies all of the lubricants for our company. Im always looking for a better product to fight the ethanol battle and wondering if anyone has heard of it or tried it?

No but have been using 4aces in several vehicles 2 of them are boarder line premium and the aces helped. a third an motorcycle. All three of those vehicles sit for long periods 2 almost all winter. Since using it a six month sit they fire right up and dont run weird for a while. Bike will soon be fired up on 2 year old fuel only started twice last year see what happens this year.

85 % of these marine fuel adds are snake oils and guess what most contain ALCOHOL or a form of it.

many years ago a bunch of us marine techs across the US reached out for the MSDS of 100's fuel adds and the marine fuel adds to see if they contained a form of Alcohol. Many did like 8 out of 10.

The worst at that timeframe was most of the OEM marine fuel adds - Johnson / Evinrude was the worst and still is 95% alcohol. and keep in mind that this is a MARINE OEM

Here is what I found currently for the main ingredients in some of the fuel adds. Some OEM marine fuel adds got away from alcohol as many marine techs started to ask WTF back at the OEM's.

I saw that list too BUP. I have always used Startron but thought I'd see if I could find any information on the Ethanal Shield. It says on their website that it contains no alcohol.

How can they not list an MSDS ? Shady.

Here is what I use since a few years after our area got E10 and carburetors started showing up to my doorstep including mine and some customers that I service and winterize.

Note: This fuel water seperator trick was told to me by member Sutphen30 back then, and has totally worked for me since then...no more issues !

When winterizing, remove and drain, or simply replace with new, fuel water separator - fill with mix of fresh fuel and 2 stroke oil, I add a dash of Stabil Ethanol. I always have fresh mixed fuel/2 stroke oil for all my lawn tools. I run them all at 40:1, so that's my mix. I'm sure 50:1 is fine too.

You will know when the carburetor or EFI receives this mix because then you'll get some blue smoke out the tailpipes.

Side benefit is that that top end of motor get's some lube on it for winter storage and steel sections of fuel line get coated inside.

The fuel tank - last trip or two gets Stabil for Ethanol. I don't just pour in tank. I add (what ever is needed for amt of fuel in tank) to a 5 gallon gas tank and shake the crap out of it, then add to gas tank.

87-89-93 octane all E10 at the Mobil. Stewarts a chain of convenience stores with pumps has 91 ethanol free. I use it in my garden tractor, chainsaw, weed whacker etc etc etc. Its around 50¢ a gallon higher than 87.

Our area held out forever getting E10, and then boom....no non-ethanol to be found.

SB nailed it with adding 2 stroke oil to combat corrosion and adding lubricity.
The fuel pump in my 5.9 CUMMINS is lubed only by fuel. I add 2 stroke every fill up and the pump is original to 1999 truck when others are on their 2nd or 3rd pump.

I run alcohol lube in my e85 street car. Been running e 85 for about 8 years now with ZERO issues. The alcohol lube comes in a 16 Oz bottle that is to be mixed into 55 Gallons of 100% alcohol. I run it half of that because gas is a lubricant as well. I think a few ounces mixed in could help out with some of the issues.
