Can I tow a Sonic 31SS with an eco boost F150? Looking to tow it about 200 miles, one way only, one time only. Truck has tow rating of about 10k.

Other option is to hire a transport company if needed. I don't want to do anything that is unsafe or take an uneccessary risk.

Mike just take a few minutes to check both weights my insurance agent made me sign a document that my truck was rated to tow my boats weight. That means if not you are in deep trouble if in an accident.

But you can look into renting something that will tow it. I've rented a F250 PSD before in Fort Lauderdale at the airport, and also a F350 gasser from rental companies in Virginia.
This would be your safest bet. I'm a DIY person, but never at the risk of safety.

I would say you are borderline and it depends on exact weights and exact towing capacity. It might be within specs, but still could be no fun.
Dry weight of a 31 SS is listed at 7000# so it will depend on trailer weight and then figure in another 500# for fuel and any gear.
If its an aluminum trailer you'd probably be around 9500#. Steel trailer would prob put you closer 10500.
Find your exact towing capacity based on your exact year and model of truck.

Some Ford dealers rent F250-F350's

The ecoboost will pull it, just not safely. You could do it and everything could be fine. However theye is just as big of a risk of an idiot cutting you off and something bad happening. If your not against hiring a transport to do the job I would go thato way. It will be money well spent of something happens. If nothing happens it will be money well spent on not stressing out for 4 hours.

I moved my 31 scarab Kevlar (a lighter boat that a sonic 31) around the lot with a brand new f150 crew cab Eco boost and I was amazed how bad my boat pushed it around. No thanks out on the road.

My 2003 Sonic 31SS weighed in at 10,500lbs on a Rocket aluminum trailer and 11,500lbs on a Loadmaster steel trailer. This was with half tanks on a CAT scale. The problem isn't so much towing as it is stopping in a hurry. It was like night and day when I went from a 2500 Suburban(6,500lbs) to a 2500HD Duramax pickup(8100lbs).

My buddy had one with max tow, weight distribution hitch etc. He used to pull a camper, issue he said was on the road semis and wind made it white knuckle drive.

Went and got a f250 gasser said less power but night and day. Rent or pay someone.

I tow mine on a Manning tandem axle aluminum with a 8.1 Gasser/Allison 2500 GMC and it is no problem but I would not be comfortable with a F150 unless it was just to go around the block. Do your research and all will agree that towing is not the issue but stopping should be the #1 concern in making a decision.
