Default Water pressure issues!

I need some advice from you guys. I'm trying to help a friend fix some water pressure issues with his 32 sensation. The boat has 454 mag MPIs with side mount whipple superchargers and bravo drives. All cooling water for the engines and superchargers is supplied via the engine mounted bravo sea pump and two transom mounted water pickups. The two transom pickups are 1.5" below the bottom of the hull. He has had issues blowing the cooling hoses on the engines ever since he bought the boat last year, so he installed two 25psi pressure dump valves (one for each engine ) at the end of last year. This year on the second time out, he again blew one of the cooling hoses so we installed a pressure gauge on each engine at the fitting where the pressure dump lines connect to the main cooling line after the sea pump and took it for a test run yesterday. The water pressure reaches 30 psi as soon as the boat planes off and reached 50-60 psi at 60 mph. We backed off the throttles at that point because the pressure would have only increased as the boat got faster and the boat will run near 90 mph. I'm not exactly sure what the best fix for the problem would be, so I need some help to try and fix it before the high pressure causes any more issues. Should we trim the water pickups, or is there something else we could do?
Thanks for any help you guys can offer!!

Raise the water pick ups so they only extend about a 1/4 inch below the bottom.

Probably no need for them to be transom mounted.

I agree with you J, I see no reason for it to not use the original bravo water supply either

I guess it depends on how they are stuffing the coolers if it has them
