871 rear bearing plate sealant
Pulled the rear bearing plate off my blower to replace the bearings. What I scraped off the plate and the mating surface kinda felt like loctite. I could scrape it off with my fingernail. Is that the correct sealant to use? Blower shop said RTV but that cant be right as it is dissolved by fuel.
