Default Fiberglass work, Ontario NY

Figured I would put this out there before it happens to someone else. This past winter I had to have a transom put in my Velocity, because of other reason I was not able to get the boat out of storage till later than expected and needed the boat fixed as soon as possible, I called John at A Team marine and supply in Ontario, figuring I would give the business to a smaller guy who needs the work rather than big company even though he was fairly higher priced than others. He told me the boat would be in and out in 2 weeks, well 2 weeks turned into 2 months, then 2.5 months, after multiple phone calls to him trying to get an update and the phone calls being ignored, text messages not being answered, voicemails not being responded to for weeks on end, turns out he's not as great of a business man as I'd expected. Completely lied about ordering materials saying they were damaged in shipping when in reality they were never ordered at all and I know this because I called the supplier and found out on my own. After finally getting ahold of him after weeks of missed phone calls and multiple deadlines that he promised were not made. I had to go there on my own and literally watch him work on the boat to know he was not lying like he was the past 2 months. Then to get even better having to go to buy almost $200 in materials that he did not have to even finish the job. Is by the most unprofessional business man I have ever met. Would not recommend this guy to absoultey anyone. Now the boat has been delivered to another marina to have the transom he put in it completely torn back out and redone, his work never bonded to the existing gel coat so there for it all needs to be replaced again. Just wanted to get this info out there before they waste months and thousands of dollars on something that is no where near what you expected.

That's terrible. Sucks when you feel you've made the right decision when picking a service only to find out about the time you expect your product back that they suck balls.

Try CW Samson Boat Repair in Red Creek, NY. He does all of the critical / really picky work for our marina and he's absolutely the best. He did some work on my boat and I could not be happier.

I'd stay away from Chris Hefke in Hilton. I personally got burned by him in the past.

How did I ever burn you Tom? You should be a man step up and give me a call so what ever I did I can make it right. Never did I ever make any repairs to your boat , other than storage. If you are still pissed off over your trailer, from 18 yrs ago , I apologize . You post and chime in on every topic that dosnt concern you. Ive found many of your posts and lake of knowledge very concerning. My phone number is 585-978-0391 call me if have any thing else to say concerning my workmanship or integrity of my work . Maybe you should take a look at yourself , last I knew you installed stereo's and depth finders for Sutters, part time. Kodak full time.
That makes you a real expert.

I feel bad for posting a individuals name on here as this site is so immature. I personally have had Chris work on my boats for over 12 years. Doing different tasks on different boats. I have always had a great experience and we became good friends from doing business after all these years. His work and experience speak for its self. I am very particular with my boats so I don't let anyone work on them. Anyone who knows or seen my boats knows this. Sorry Chris to have your name dragged into a **** pile.

I won't even dignify that post with a detailed answer. Although you might want to fact check some of your statements on my "knowledge." As for your expertise, there is a reason the marina I work at no longer utilizes your services. Over and out.

Let's get some facts straight , Tom Warda
Believe you quoted our Marina in the above statement, Sure you have no ownership in Sutters
Marina.

Last boat I repaired for Sutters was in 2001 David Flaum's 35 Fountain, I know there were no issues with that boat, because Paul ( your Boss) contacted me after the repair and was very pleased with the results.
I will make sure to contact him and ask him if there are any problems.

Still have your personal truck with sutter stickers all over it.
