How to stop the constant fiberglass fade??

Here is the age old question. I will buff out the gelcoat on my boat at the beginning of the season, around April/May. I will then wax it every couple of months. But, the colors still continue to fade. On another forum I read a post where somebody said that after buffing out the gelcoat, you need to use a sealer to fill the little pores and then put on a coat of wax. It is the open pores that allow the fade to come back quickly. Not sure if that is true or not.
So here is my question. What can be done to restore the gelcoat and prevent the fade from coming back so that I am not buffing multiple times a year? Can it be reconditioned? Does it need to be resprayed with new gel? Can it be wet sanded and then sealed with Clear Coat? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

buy yourself a full cover and put it on when you are not using the boat! I got one for mine for about $400 and its 3 years old, i think i got it from national boat cover or something. Its crazy how strong the sun is! I went through this is my checkmate, after 1 month in the sun it was shot again.

Have you tried 303 Aerospace Protectant? Bought a brand new boat with red and blue gelcoat that was so faded they really just wanted rid of it, I bought it thinking I could paint it but tried 303. Never even polished it, had it for 10 years, picture taken on day it sold..
