2 beeps every 2 minutes on Mercruiser 5.7 mag
Engine idles fine. I will get alarm (2 beeps every 2 minutes) when I accelerate to get on plane. This doesn't happen every time. When it does, I turn off the ignition and restart...alarm gone. All gauges (temp, oil pressure) appear to be fine. Someone suggested changing IAC anyway which I might just do.
Question: Should I stay with OEM part at $100+ or get replacement part for $40 - $50? Is this critical?
