TRS to Bravo Flywheel help
#1
I am going to bravos with. At the present time I use top mount starters.
To use bottom mount starters do I need to flip my flywheels 180*?
I have Gen V blocks. I don't know the internal vs external balancing stuff.
Thanks

Use a blunt nose chisel or air chisel and work your way around ring gear evenly until removed. To install , make sure flywheel is clean of paint and rust. Clean inner surface of ring gear.
To make things easier , you can cool flywheel in freezer or ice down. Heat ring gear in household oven ( if not super clean , gear will smoke up house) or heat with torch. With gloves of course , drop ring gear in to position on flywheel. Make sure its fully seated and your done!!! Takes about 1/2hr total time to change ( less if already clean) Good luck!!

you should buy a lottery ticket today because you are a lucky guy,my #6 flywheels are only machined for rear mount starters.i would bet that someone machined yours prior to your getting them.

I agree. I assume they were front mount to begin with and someone machined them for rear mount.
