repairing acrylic wind screen?

My wind screen on my 02 31 sonic has a piece broken off on the upper corne.r. not sure what material was used to manufacture the wind screen but anyone know what I should use to glue it back?

epoxy relies 100% on a mechanical bond i think you really need a chemical bond/weld for acrylic. I've actually tried it on acrylic sanded to about 220 and it had very little bond. For the edge of a surface i dont think you could take advantage of its properties. Just my two pennies

Buy a new one lol. I only say that cause I know there is one at the factory you can get for about $500 new so its a no brainer to me. You will more then likely have that much or more in trying to fix the one you have.

ride fast77 who do i speak to in reference to this wind screen at the sonic factory? who was the man to speak to when it came to questions fron the old factory? forgot his name and is he still there?

Get a new screen ? If not I have had great success with Weldon acrylic welding agent . As long as the break is clean/ tight when held together , It makes for a strong repair. It chemically welds the pieces together . Its available at plastic/ acrylic shops or the net. I believe the active chemical is methylchloride . I actually had a baja 226 sport with the screen broke in half completely, and with patients fully repaired it .
