Default Winnipesakee in the mid 1960's

I thought some of would like to see some pictures of a fast
boat in the Alton Bay area of Winnipesaukee in the mid 1960's:
18 foot double planked twin cockpit Century. 340HP 327
Chevy V8. Around 50+MPH at 5400 RPM. In those days
you could pull up to eight skiers. Most of the time two skiers.

I have not been up there since 1982.
I am going to Newport in September.
I may just drive up and check it out.

How is your boat running?

Have a lot of good memories from long distance ski racing up there.

There were 50 and 75 mile races and the boats were everything from SK boats to old Centuries to Magnum Missles. Tom Thomas was a good friend up there and helped me a lot with traveling from Rhode Island to NH for the ski races.

I think my last race up there was in the mid 70's and I brought one of my offshore boats up to ski behind. Great times when we all were much younger.

Looks like a beauty. My father has a '57 Chris Craft with a 283 he still skis behind at 71 years old up here.
