Default Dumb question

Where would the # be on the block and heads to find out what i have? My oil psi problem is worse then i thought. Found metal in the filter. Looks like bearings. Motor is still running great with no knock so gonna pull it and have it gonna through but im not even sure what im starting with. Its a 502. Boat is a 98 and i believe motor is original but has had some work in the past. Sucks.......phucker still runs like a raped ape but figure im on borrowed time

They always run best just before they go boom. Good find.

If you're taking somewhere, they would surely be able to get that for you. If you're doing it yourself, different story.

Dropped the motor off to the builder today. He said its a gen4 bowtie block. Said that was good. Aftermark crank too. He was kind of excited to open it up but thought it was a pretty good piece. Hopefully he is right.

Don't quote me, but I believe some of these had C̶a̶l̶l̶i̶e̶s̶ cranks as they where helping supply GM with these for a time.

Edit in: actually my memory just switched to Scat forged cranks.
