Default Still a few good guys around

My headers are pretty old and they show it with nicks and scratches and now discoloration from a little incident. I take them to this local retired guy who is a little weak from a stroke who polishes on the side as a hobby. I expect them to come back a bit shinier but figure all the scratches will still be there. I even tell him not to worry about the parts you can't see, just to do the visible parts. Well I go over a couple days later to discover he has actually sanded most of the surface of the headers and tails to remove the deep scratches and THEN polished them. Polished them in their entirety and the distribution tube and the little hose clamps. The things look like new. It's great to find someone who isn't looking to do the least for you that they can anymore.

Nothing better than building relationships with local craftsman / experts in their fields.
I try to always use local help that comes from word of mouth.

He even polished the crappy old brass fittings on the ends.
