Default 99 scarab avs value with 496 ho's?

Bought 33avs, hull has 180 hrs, thinking about buying a 38 w 496 ho's, pulling them, install in the 33 avs and keeping my 500 efis for the 38. My 33 has completely new engine covers, bolsters, all cockpit completelt done more modern a month ago. What would a turn key 33avs be worth new interior and 496 power?

I'm curious as to responses on this. I'm looking at a '99 and a '98 AVS. One has 502s the other has 500s. Which is more desirable and/or better?

I would start at 55K for the 33avs with 496's. Both boats,33 and the 38 avs are great boats.

The 500 boat will command 5 to 10 k more than the 502 boat all else being equal, keep in mind though going from 502 mpis (which progressive and geico will insure for 750$ a year) to 500's will force you into speciality insurance at double to triple the cost with bare bones coverage

Not true. First off...Progressive and Geico are both 2 of the WORST possible insurance companies for boats. I insure my 37 Active Thunder for under $1000 a year with great coverage.

Foremost wanted 1750 a year to insure my 33 scarab in michigan with winter layup, 5000$ deductible, 25,000 liability and 60,000$ insured value, perfect driving record, 16 years of continuous insurance on boats with ZERO claims, boater safety certificate, 50 years old, inside storage with alarm system. They were the CHEAPEST , the 82 mph published speed by wellcraft pushed it into specialty insurance , stepped hull and claims history on 33 AVS's hulls dont help either
