min should be 2-3. I usually have 4. That's two a side, or 3 on one side, one on the other and hope the next guy at least as 1-2 to help out with. Ideally if you have room I would go 6. depending on storage and what you have room for, 3-4 is good bet.

4 big ones..... Usually 2 per side does the trick.

5 total, 1 large, 4 medium. 2 mediums for the dock, 3 for the opposite side in case someone decides to raft up on me.

5 - 3 mediums that are ready to go and 2 inflatable ones I found at a boat show a few years ago. Keep the inflatable ones deflated and under the seat ready to go when needed.

We keep 5 8.5" fenders 4 of which have covers. The 5th is not used often, but there if/when need. I bought them as a 4 pack from an eBay vendor for $72 (total). One came discolored, so the vendor sent me a replacement (he didn't want the discolored one back). Bought the covers for $40.00. We have a Concept CC, we have floor compartments that allow us to store all 5 without issue. Having 5 large fenders means I never have to rely on some clown rafting up to me with his half inflated, 4" fenders........ The covers are nice because they keep your gel (or paint) free of scratches.
