Looking for something that you can plug into both motors with twin engines, and plug laptop in for diag without having to switch back and forth underway. I thought I had stumbled across one last week latop died with webpage open before i could check it out :/
Found this but it doesnt look the same and not certain what it does, its not a diag port y cable with a A/B switch like I was expecting to find

Alot of twin MEFI apps already have the DLC to scan / monitor both engines with one hook up - it is called DUEL ENGINE DATA MONITOR inwhich from the boat manu electrically linked them together and yes you can set up your twin app that way as well if it does not already have that capability.

Had to dig this up so its posted on page 14 of the owners manual from Diacom Techmate Pro hand held owners manual
Also have done it with Merc DDT, other / older Diacom hand helds and their software to laptop, also CDI MEDS, also API marine scan tools. Not uncommon. Twin engines - one connection to read both engines but you have to scroll the screen and compare, but it is still one connection using one scan tool only to read both engines while running at the sametime and or just with key on only can scan both engines at the sametime...

Diacom does not nor does the other scan tools that I mentioned for retuning / recal of the ECM. They scan only for and report parameters and faults and history and run times plus allow group running tests and so on. They can NOT recal or change bin files not even for a single engine hook up.
I was putting out the info that one scan tool with one DLC connection can scan twin motor apps at the sametime. I thought thats what the OP was asking. Like I said alot of twins already come this way (one port (DLC) to plug one scan tool into for diagnostic scanning for twin apps).

I think it is only one wire between the engines. thought it was yellow. My engine came out of a twin engine boat. Couldnt figure out where the extra wire went, dont tell anyone but I read the manual and it stated it was only used on twin installations.
