Default Repowered 42-foot Fountain Hits 135 MPH With More Left

With its new Mercury Racing 1350 engines, a repowered 42-foot Fountain should be a 140-mph boat, http://speedonthewater.com/boat-rest...with-more-left.

Two cool videos in this story.

Awesome !

The engine hatch vinyl hates life already....lol... that's a lot of wind !

I thought the 1350's produced (thru electronics and wastegates) 1350hpno matter what altitude and weather conditions ?

Anyway, what an awesome ride ! Hope the owner loves it and isn't too afraid of it.

Yeah...see...this is what you get to do when you have a $hit pot bunch of money !!!

I would do it to if I could afford it !!!

Wouldn't be fun to show up at the local Poker Run with that rig.....play it cool...then blow everybody out of the water !!

I thought it would be faster, a 38 with tuned 700's & #6's ran 128. Amazing 1000 hp only gets you 10 mph more.

There might be 10+ MPH left after they are done fine tuning. I remember correctly Brian Forehand had his 42 running 135+ with a lot less HP than 1350.
