Default Thru haul exhaust questions

Thanks guys for taking the time to read this. Planning on doing some thru halls on my 1996 200 BR CELEBRITY w/ 350 mag. I have a couple question before I do the install. So when the boat is sitting in water, with people in back the water level looks like it's going to be right at the bottom of the tip. From my current measurements, and degree off the riser to the location, it looks like it's going to be sitting at a 20 degree angle from riser to tip. The riser that are on the 350 mag look and measure to a 6 inch riser. Is there anything I should be concerned about with these numbers?

Will post pics,

Thanks in advance,

Nick

So the little hole where the fish finder comes through is going to be almost the center point of where i want to have the tips come through. There are lower water lines, but im playing it safe with the higher lines.

thanks.

If you are coming straight off of the riser and to the transom you should be good. You want a downward slope towards the back of the boat. You will want to run tips that have internal flaps and also run a set of the external rubber flaps to keep water from coming back up the tail pipes when coming to a stop or if a wave hits the back of the boat while parked.

If you are going straight out the back just get a piece of 4" exhaust hose and run it to the back of the boat on both sides and trace it with a marker

Anyone have any solutions for a product to seal the wood as well as a sealant for the flange of the exhaust tip? I've heard 4200 for the flange, just wondering for the raw wood.

Thanks

I mixed up some fiberglass resin for the wood and brushed it on.
