Default Class 600 hull for a bunch of beginners

A few of us were kicking around trying our hand at running class 600 next year, was thinking about any of the 24x7 hulls, pantera, superboat, etc. What would be some other options? Would it be possible to take a boat like a Formula 242 and not totally embarrass ourselves? Really looking for some different price point ideas for a hull. The guys in my group have plenty of bbc stuff laying around so the power aspect isn't an issue, we could put together a combo from 400-800hp with stuff we have. Thanks for any input.

As long as it is 26 and under, you are good. We run on a variety of lakes, rivers, ocean, so each hull has its benefit.

Sixshooter , The 26' Velocity race boat "Dont Blink" ( the late Doug Sutherland's boat) , is for sale on Sarasota Craigslist. Boat has winning history and was set up by some of the best. You might be able to pick it up reasonably , I've seen it advertised several times , They say its complete as raced , minus one seat(Doug was paralyzed and needed a special seat) , but it looks like its starting to show its age. I can take a look at it for you if needed. You can save months or years of set up / guesswork by starting with a platform like this. Good Luck!!!https://sarasota.craigslist.org/boa/5732040711.html
