Haven't heard anything myself and most of my friends are quick to tell me about any speedboat gossip

Facebook said that the Scarab got an anchor line wrapped around his drives right as a storm was rolling in. So the boat was basically anchored from the stern. Heavy rain and wind took the boat down. There were a few pics of the boat being loaded on the trailer after the recovery. The engine hatch was missing, otherwise didn't look to bad. I don't think it was actually a P-29, but an older boat painted to look like one.

It's the Potomac River Boater's page, it's private so I don't think I can link it. But here's a few pics.

Looks like a real P29 to me. Sad if thats the case...a knife would make short work of an anchor line.
