After being disqualified on Saturday, it appears that the 217-mph top speed posted by the American Ethanol Mystic is going to be reinstated as a valid run, according to Lake of the Ozarks Shootout officials.

Wow, sitting at start boat watching the starters waving their yellow flag the entire approach to the green and then it appeared like the starters then decided to throw the green only after AE ignored the yellow by continuing to accelerate through the run-up area.

The rules seemed black and white to me.

Great run by AE for certain, but it was not a run which appeared to follow the rules that would qualify it as official.
