Default Recommend a lake around Cortland NY

I'm thinking of taking my boat to visit my parents in Cortland. Can you recommend a lake that has a big enough ramp and parking lot for my 28 Velocity that isn't to far away? Just looking to get my father out on the water for a few hours.

Thanks

Cayuga is nice and longest of finger lakes with no posted speed limit. We go every year for labor day weekend. This year we will have 10 boats headed there. Nice lake

Cayuga Lake is the easiest from Cortland and best for your boat. I'm running my boat down there this weekend. The Allan H Treman State Marine Pk in Ithaca has excellent 8 ramps and ample parking. From I-81 to Cortland SR79 would be your best bet coming from the south or SR13 if coming down from the north. Stay away from I281 because of crazy construction. Very few obstructions on the lake and its very deep. There are some decent bar/restaurants with docks on the west side mostly. Have fun.

I think I'm way off. There is a Cortland NY in Northern Westchester NY. That is close to the lakes I mentioned. I was unaware that there is a Cortland NY near the finger lakes. Sorry!!

I just had time to check out the suggested lakes and this looks like the place!!! My parents live right off of Rt13.

Thanks again. Maybe I'll see you guys on the lake this weekend.
